(March 25, 2018) Prizren, Kosovo

We all managed to get up early, and after breakfast we headed by bus to Prizren, Kosovo.  After checking into our hotel in the early afternoon, we had a couple of hours to explore.  Prizren is really a lovely city, nestled below a mountain, with both churches and mosques, a pedestrian walk along the river, and many bridges.  One bridge was covered in "love locks".

Some colourful yarn!

Several of us went to lunch-- and I enjoyed some excellent vegetarian fare, including a hot pepper-- though not as hot as the Macedonian peppers I remember from WCSO's 2012 summer tour!  We walked around and explored a bit before our rehearsal and concert in the evening.  The concert went well, and was part of the DAM New Music Festival.  We had almost a full house.  My piece wasn't on the programme, though-- MPQ will be meeting us again tomorrow in Macedonia.  After the concert, we had a delicious dinner, at the same restaurant where many of us had lunch!  Then, off to bed-- another long day of bus travel, and another concert ahead!
